In June and July 2025, Dr. Michal Müller conducted field research in Hong Kong and Shenzhen as the principal investigator of the Scientific Activity Support Fund project "Developing the Resilience of Sustainable Enterprises in the Context of Digital Transformation of Society: The Example of Hong Kong and Taiwan." Other members of the research team include Dr. David Kosina, who will travel to Taiwan next year, and Mgr. Veronika Vaseková (Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University), who is co-authoring the publication outputs. The project focuses on how the implementation of artificial intelligence tools strengthens the resilience of businesses and contributes to the achievement of sustainable goals.

The fieldwork part of the research included interviews and visits to companies that integrate AI into their services and products. These included Cantone Hong Kong, SmartAge, Vidi Labs, PantheonLab, Anchora, and Dustykid. The research continued in Shenzhen, focusing on the use of technological innovations (including neuroimaging and visualization methods) and artificial intelligence to shape sustainable public space.

The visit featured two academic lectures at local universities.
On June 19, 2025, Dr. Müller gave a lecture and seminar entitled "Social Entrepreneurship and Ethics in Times of Polycrisis: Philosophical Metaphors to Interpret the Lived Experience of Changemakers" at The Education University of Hong Kong. The event was organized by Dr. Echo Liang Shang.

This was followed on July 11, 2025, by a seminar entitled "Resilient Leadership in Social Entrepreneurship: Overcoming Constraints for Sustainable Impact" at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The seminar was organized by Dr. Nie Lin and the Centre for Social Policy and Social Entrepreneurship.

We would like to thank Dr. Müller for his active involvement in international research!
