New International Partnership: DEMS Signs Erasmus+ Agreement with University of Primorska

Thursday 6 February 2025, 15:08

The Department of Economic and Managerial Studies is strengthening its international engagement! We’re excited to announce the signing of a new Erasmus+ agreement with the University of Primorska (Univerza na Primorskem) in Slovenia. This partnership will support both student and staff mobility between Palacký University and this respected Slovenian institution.

The collaboration focuses on the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, located in the picturesque coastal town of Portorož. This faculty is known for its innovative approaches to education in tourism, management, and sustainable business—areas that closely align with our department’s academic mission.

What does this partnership offer?

  • Student mobility – Study in Slovenia and broaden your academic and cultural horizons in a dynamic international environment.

  • Staff mobility – Opportunities for both academic and non-academic staff to engage in internships that enhance professional collaboration and knowledge exchange.

  • Joint research – This year, we are co-developing a project to establish a teaching lab focused on social entrepreneurship.

What’s more, the location right on the Adriatic coast adds an extra dimension to the academic experience. Portorož, Koper, Izola, and Piran are charming historical towns with a vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere, offering not only a high-quality academic setting but also an excellent quality of life.

For further information, please contact our international mobility coordinator, Pavla Slavíčková (pavla.slavickova@upol.cz).

We look forward to the exciting opportunities this partnership will bring to our students, teachers and staff!
