Jaroslava Kubátová primarily focuses on human capital management and believes people are the key to the success of every company and the whole society. Her main research interest is business with a positive social impact, particularly conscious business.

 

Qualitative research of managerial practice in the context of existential philosophy of management

Michal Müller’s team deals with qualitative research of critical situations in managerial practice and with the development of the existential philosophy of management. The conceptual framework for developing the methodology was published in the Project Management Journal (Müller, Jedličková, 2020). An article focusing on the existential philosophy of management was published in the journal Philosophy of Management (Müller, 2021). Accounting History in Czechia and Central European Countries

Pavla Slavíčková focuses on development of accounting in Czechia and other Central European countries, and on nature and chronology of different accounting techniques that have been used in this region in the past. Following foreign studies on the history of accounting, the oldest period of the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Age was examined at first. In 2017, the monograph entitled Accounting between Tradition and Rationality (Slavíčková, 2017) was published that describes the nature of the so-called administrative accounting, which was used in the region of the Central Europe before the expansion of modern accounting techniques. Most recently the main findings of this research was published in Accounting Historians Journal (Slavíčková, 2022). Specifically, the issue of the credit market was discussed by an international team of researchers in book entitled A History of Credit Market in Central Europe published by Routledge in 2021. Between 2019 and 2021, the follow-up research on cameral accounting was supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (No. 19-07805S). The main output of this project is the monograph entitled Cameral Accounting and its Development in Czechia (Slavíčková, 2022).
